Liebe Leser!

Lange wurde es erwartet, am Montag ist es endlich so weit: Das vierte
Album der Deftones steht in den Läden. Wir haben für Euch die Möglichkeit
bekommen, die Scheibe schon einige Tage vorher zu hören und auf Herz und
Nieren zu prüfen.

nachlesen könnt, gleich vorwegzunehmen: Ein zweiter ganz großer Wurf wie
"White pony" ist den Deftones unterm Strich nicht gelungen. Aber
immerhin noch ein großer. Uns war die Scheibe schließlich die Bewertung 8/10
und den "Album der Woche"-Titel wert.

Auf Platz zwei und drei im Rennen um unsere Gunst sind zwei Acts gelandet,
die beide auf ihre ganz eigene Art verstören: Mit Tomahawk läßt Mike Patton
mal wieder kräftig die Sau raus. Und Marilyn Manson überzeugt auf "The
golden age of grotesque" durch mehr als nur billige Schockeffekte.

Auch sonst waren für die neuen Scheiben diese Woche fast durchweg
überdurchschnittliche Bewertungen fällig: Für NOFX, die mit "The war on
errorism" fast wieder zu alter Form auflaufen. Für die Emil Bulls, die zum
zweiten Mal beweisen, daß brauchbarer New Metal tatsächlich aus Deutschland
kommen kann. Und für Within Temptation, die Evanescence zeigen, wie man
Gothic-Rock mit Frauenstimme richtig macht. Außerdem wären da noch Tenacious
D, die mit ihrer Rockparodie für heftiges Schenkelklopfen und Astablachen
sorgen.
