Der Festivalsommer geht in seine heiße Phase. Kommendes Wochenende lockt das
VISIONS-Westend-Festival in Dortmund mit einem äußerst geschmackvollen

und die Terremoto-Aktion von DRUM und http://www.plattentests.de/ biegt auf
die Zielgeraden ein.

Und auch wenn Live-Musik bekanntlich immer noch am meisten regiert,
präsentieren wir Euch unter http://www.plattentests.de/ auch diese Woche
wieder feine Klänge aus der Konserve. Das gröbste Sommerloch ist
überstanden, und unser neues Album der Woche, das Zweitwerk "Magic and
medicine" unserer Lieblingsbritschrullen The Coral, ist endlich wieder
eines, das sich diese Ehre redlich verdient hat.

Nicht ganz so berauschend dagegen sind die meisten Comeback-Alben der Stunde
ausgefallen: Jane's Addiction haben auf "Strays" einiges von ihrem alten
Feuer eingebüßt, Queensrÿche dümpeln auf "Tribe" im Mittelmaß herum. Und das
einst so rotzige Rrrriot-Girl Liz Phair gar biedert sich auf ihrem neuen
Machwerk den Trends der untersten Schublade an.

Da ist es doch beruhigend, daß sich wenigstens Killing Joke im Jahr 2003
eindrucksvoll zurückmelden. Und Jack Johnson mit entspanntem Geklampfe, die
Thrills mit Shalala-Orgien, A Static Lullaby mit schmerzlichem Gezeter und
Spillsbury mit dem x-ten NDW-Revivalversuch die restlichen Kohlen aus dem
Feuer holen.

Wir wünschen ein noch kräftigeres HEEEEELGAAAAAA, ein fettes
Festivalwochenende und viel Spaß beim Lesen!
