Anfang des Monats läutete Grammy-Gewinnerin Dua Lipa eine "neue Ära" ein veröffentlichte ein Bild von sich im neuen blonden Look. "Vielen Dank für Eure Geduld. Bis bald “, sagte sie zu ihren Followern.

Kurze Zeit später hat sie ihre offiziellen Social-Media-Kanäle aktualisiert, und alle vorherigen Beiträge gelöscht.

Nun hat uns die Sängerin einen Blick auf ihr nächstes Kapitel gewährt und einen kurzen Clip ihrer kommenden Single „Don’t Start Now“ mit Disco-Elementen geteilt.

"Miss me?", fragt sie in dem Beitrag, den sie gestern Abend postete.

In einem weiteren Post von heute Nachmittag erzählt Dua Lipa, dass sie am Montag die Ehre hatte, einen Vortrag in der Cambridge Universität zu halten:

Dua Lipa hat ihren neuen Track "Don't Start Now" veröffentlicht. "Don't Start Now" ist eine mit Adrenalin und guter Laune geladene Nu Disco Tanzhymne über Positivität und Selbstbestimmung.

"Ich habe mich entschieden, diesen Song zuerst zu veröffentlichen, um ein Kapitel meines Lebens abzuschließen und um ein anderes zu beginnen", erklärt Dua. "In eine neue Ära mit einem neuen Sound! Es geht darum, weiterzumachen und niemandem zu erlauben, sich dem in den Weg zu stellen. Für mich fühlte es sich natürlich an, da "Don't Start Now" mit derselben großartigen Crew entstanden ist, die auch schon bei ‚New Rules‘ mitgewirkt hat.“

Seit ihrem Debütalbum in 2015 zählt Dua Lipa bereits über 4 Millionen Albumverkäufe und 10 Millionen Singleverkäufe weltweit. Das Album ist offiziell das am meisten gestreamte Album einer Künstlerin in der Geschichte von Spotify. Zudem ist sie die jüngste Solo-Künstlerin, die jemals 1 Milliarde Views auf YouTube erreicht hat. Sie gewann insgesamt 3 BRITS als British Female Artist und British Breakthrough Artist in 2018 sowie Best British Single für „One Kiss“ in Zusammenarbeit mit Calvin Harris im Jahre 2019. New Release Date Friday March 27th

Future Nostalgia UK and European Tour Postponed

Dua Lipa's highly anticipated new album Future Nostalgia is set for release on Friday March 27th. Future Nostalgia will include the Number 1 global hit single ‘Don’t Start Now’, and her current smash single ‘Physical’. The new album will be available for download on all digital platforms as well as physical on the following formats; pink neon vinyl, CD, picture disc, gold cassette and deluxe box set, all of which are now available from Dua’s web store here.

“I have some great news for you – I’m now releasing my album this Friday March 27th and cannot wait to share it with you all” reveals Dua. “I had a lot more confidence because I’d done it before, I wasn’t afraid to just go in and experiment and try new things” she explains. Dua recalls the precise moment when this new direction presented itself. “I was doing a radio show in Las Vegas and I went for a walk, just to clear my mind,” she says. “While I was walking, I was listening to OutKast and No Doubt and I was like, ‘What is it about these records that I still love and relate to so much? Why do I feel like they haven’t aged? And how could I incorporate that nostalgic feeling of all my favourite childhood memories and inspirations into something new and modern?”

Dua also has an update regarding her upcoming tour. “Unfortunately, given the current situation and with everyone’s safety in mind we have had to postpone the UK and European dates of my “Future Nostalgia” Tour. We will be announcing the rescheduled dates for the UK and European Tour tomorrow at 10.00am UK time. All tickets will remain valid for the new shows and you will receive an email from the ticket agency confirming all details. I’ll be announcing Tour Dates for the rest of the world very soon. I want to come to as many places as possible!”

Auch das Debüt fand ich schon ganz gut, aber als Album zu zerfahren. Das hier ist jetzt aber ein anderes Niveau und meiner Meinung nach bislang das beste Pop-Album des Jahres.

PS: Schade, dass es der Song aus dem YSL Parfum Werbespot nicht irgendwie aufs Album geschafft hat...

PPS: Ich weiß nicht, was ich schärfer find... Sie oder ihren Akzent...

Innerhalb einer Woche neue Musik von Dua Lipa und Weeknd ist halt echt hocherfreulich!
"Future Nostalgia" ist ein richtig gutes Album und endlich wird sie jetzt auch von den Kritikern hochgejubelt, nachdem das Debutalbum das schon verdient hätte. Ich könnte nicht mal sagen, welches ich besser finde. Das Debut hatte eine melancholischere Atmosphäre, was mir mehr zusagt, während das neue tanzbaren discoinspirierten Sound kredenzt. Dafür ist "Future Nostalgia" definitiv das rundere Album, das Debut war zerfahrener und hatte auch Füller, die das neue Album nicht hat. Dafür hatte es aber auch drei Übersongs, während für mich auf dem neuen nichts wirklich rausragt, was ich bei einem Popalbum schon immer gerne habe aber trotzdem macht das Spaß ohne Ende.

"Love again" ist aber echt ein fieses Ohrwürmchen, das bekannte Sample passt perfekt - richtig nostalgisch. Überraschend gutes Pop-Album, keine Frage.

Jetzt erst richtig dazu gekommen und finde es auch noch einen Ticken besser als das Debüt (aus dem man sich aber dank der Fülle an Deluxe-Songs ein mindestens ebenso gutes Album bauen kann).

Hält sich überraschend gut bei mir. Beim ersten Durchgang war ich etwas gelangweilt und dachte mir, jetzt springt noch jemand auf diesen Discorevivalzug auf, aber bis auf die letzten beiden Nummern reiht sich echt Hit an Hit. Dazu kommt ihre tolle Stimme, die perfekt zu dieser Musik passt und die starken Produktionen.

Immer noch unfassbar, dass dieses Album 6 von 11 als Heavy-Rotation-Singles untergebracht hat und "Cool" nicht darunter ist. (Die Moonlight-Deluxe nicht mitgezählt, wobei das Bonusmaterial gegenüber der regulären Platte insgesamt auch abfällt.)
Eines der besten Popalben der letzten Jahre.

Bin da bei Felix, unglaublich gutes Album welches beim ersten Durchgang direkt mitreißt und sich trotzdem verdammt lange hält. Die letzten beiden Tracks brauche ich nicht, aber sonst ist eigentlich jeder Track ein ausgezeichneter Singlekandidat.

Ich bin immer wieder baff, wie krass der Lauf bis einschließlich Track 9 ist. Alles absolute Hits, auch wirklich wunderbar produziert. Mit den letzten beiden Songs wollte man wohl noch die Platte vollmachen, passen aber weder stilistisch noch qualitativ dazu. Hält sich auch noch ausgezeichnet bei mir.

Gar nicht mal so gut gealtert, das Album. Von einer mehr als soliden 7 runter auf 6/10. Ja gut, könnte alles schlimmer sein, einzelne Songs in der richtigen Stimmung kicken immer noch, aber mit der Grower-Erwartung war ich wohl etwas naiv.

Ja, ist ein recht solides Teil, aber nützt sich schnell ab, wenn man es zu oft hintereinander hört ohne längere Pausen dazwischen. Kurzweilig isses schon, aber meist sind es die gleichen Songs, die meine 7ngeteilte Aufmerksamkeit halten können, der Rest läuft dann halt eher so mit. Wirklich Hitformat hat auf Dauer nur Boys Will Be Boys. Etwas überhypet, die Gute. Aber im eher ermüdenden Popzirkus dennoch mal etwas erfrischend, sofern eben in Maßen genossen.
