Hello folks,

To answer these questions three: track listings, title, release date:

We don't know the track listings yet, we've been working solely on the music, and this does not include the titles to the song. The title of a song is usually the last consideration of a song. Howerver, I can tell you some working titles:

Will You Smile Again?
Worlds Apart
The Summer of '91
When the Big Hand Touches the Little Hand
Caterwaul

...can you guess which songs Jason sings on?

Title - the title is usually the VERY last thing to be considered, the absolute very last. It often involves consulting an astrologer.

Release date - I don't have a date, but if it isn't released in September, you will find me drunk, in a bar in Brooklyn. I will have shaved my head and eyebrows.

A note from Conrad

Hello everyone, those of you who have not forgotten us even though it’s been three very long years since we released anything, to which I am entirely to blame.

This hasn’t been an easy year for us, it has been full of its trials, and making this record has not been the least of them. The relief I felt upon finishing it was indescribable, it felt as if a large iron fist had been lifted from my chest and lowered slightly to my lower abdomen, where it remains to this day.

Anyway, to those of you who are eagerly expecting our record, I am sorry to disappoint you but our label wants us to wait until January to release it. I know, this is abominable news, especially since we worked so hard all year to get it out in time. But there are three reasons they have for this – U2, No Doubt, and Eminem. All three are putting out records in October, and they don’t want to have to dust ours under the rug. This happens in the industry sometimes. There are other reasons, such as we don’t wash our hair and we need to take promo pictures.

We have truncated our tour plans for the fall only slightly, however. We still plan to tour the US and the UK, and even pre-release a single, if you really want us to. It will most likely be the title track of the LP and a couple other things. So in the end, it’s only a couple months longer and then hopefully all hell will break loose.

I heard from Neil today and he says he’s doing well. Thank you all for your concerns, and thanks for remembering that our band still exists. You have been very patient, even though we’ve been very slow with the follow-up and have been very lazy with news updates. I hope you all understand that this is because we’ve been trying to make the best album possible. And I am currently trying to design the best album artwork possible because our last release Pitchfork gave the Worst Album Cover of the Year award to.

As for the cover that some of you saw, I’m still working on that. Yes, we had intended for the comic-book artist Bill Sienkiewicz to do something for us, but that didn’t work out, which is a shame because I’ve been his fan since I was a kid. But perhaps next time.

What else? Oh, I don't know. I’ll try to think of something good…

TRAIL OF DEAD - Auseinander driftende Welt erst Januar 2005

Mit "Source Tags & Codes", jenem Album, dass man mit Recht zu einer der Rockplatten des Jahres 2002 zählen kann, sorgten "...AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD" für erhebliches Aufsehen.

Auf den mit Spannung erwarteten Nachfolger der vier Texaner werden wir uns aber leider noch etwas länger gedulden müssen. Die Veröffentlichung des Albums "Worlds Apart" wurde auf Januar 2005 verschoben.
