Bleachers melden sich mit ihrer brandneuen Single "Modern Girl" zurück - dem ersten Vorgeschmack auf ihr mit Spannung erwartetes neues Album.

Bleachers werden von dem weltweit gefeierten, achtfach mit dem Grammy ausgezeichneten Sänger, Songwriter, Musiker und Produzenten Jack Antonoff angeführt. Nach der Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums "Strange Desire" im Jahr 2014 hat sich die Band über drei Studioalben hinweg eine große, leidenschaftliche Fangemeinde aufgebaut und ist für ihre beeindruckende Live-Show bekannt.
Sowohl mit Bleachers als auch als Songwriter und Produzent hat Frontmann Jack Antonoff, dem die BBC 2021 zuschrieb, "Popmusik neu definiert" zu haben, und der mit Künstlern wie Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, The 1975, Diana Ross, Lorde, St. Vincent, Florence + The Machine, Kevin Abstract und vielen anderen eng zusammengearbeitet und Musik veröffentlicht.
Die erste Album Single "Modern Girl" ist eine typische Bleachers-Hymne, die einen mitreißenden Refrain mit einer dröhnenden, energiegeladenen Instrumentierung verbindet.
Die neue Single feiert ihre Premiere heute Abend bei BBC Radio 1 und wird in der morgen erscheinenden letzten Staffel der Netflix-Hitserie Sex Education zu hören sein.
Letzten Monat veröffentlichten die Bleachers "Live At Radio City Music Hall", ein 21-Track-Live-Album, das am 26. Juli 2022 während ihrer ausverkauften Headline-Show in der Radio City Music Hall in New York aufgenommen wurde und die bemerkenswerten Live-Qualitäten der Band unter Beweis stellt.
Das letzte Album der Band, "Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night" zeigte Antonoffs eindringliches Songwriting. Die Kampagne führte dazu, dass die Band ihr Debüt in der NBC-Sendung Saturday Night Live gab und die Single Stop Making This Hurt" bei den MTV VMAs 2021 eine Nominierung als Best Alternative Video" erhielt, bei Triple A auf Platz 1 landete und bei Alternative Radio in die Top Ten kam.

Bleachers today release ‘Alma Mater’ - the second track taken from their highly anticipated forthcoming new album ‘Bleachers’.
You can listen to ‘Alma Mater’ HERE. The track was premiered by Zane Lowe on Apple Music and features additional vocals from Lana Del Rey.
‘Alma Mater’ follows the magnificent comeback single ‘Modern Girl’, which Rolling Stone lauded as “quintessential Bleachers” and saw NME praise as “an exciting indication of the band’s new era”. Bleachers gave ‘Modern Girl’ its TV debut with an electrifying performance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon earlier this month. You can watch the performance HERE.

There’s a rich depth to the band’s sound on ‘Bleachers’: it is laid out in bright, soulful technicolour. The album is frontman Antonoff’s distinctly New Jersey take on the bizarre sensory contradictions of modern life, on his position in culture, and on the things he cares about. Sonically, it’s sad, it’s joyful, it’s music for driving on the highway to, for crying to and for dancing to at weddings. There’s something reassuringly touchable and concrete about its sentiment: exist in crazy times but remember what counts.
In support of ‘Bleachers’, the band have announced details of their forthcoming UK tour. The newly announced dates will see the band bring their renowned live show to the UK in March 2024, including a headline show at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town. Co-directed by Jack’s wife Margaret Qualley and Alex Lockett, the enchanting visuals feature Margaret performing a self-choreographed routine as dawn breaks across the New York City skyline. You can watch the video HERE.
Bleachers recently announced details of the US leg of their ‘From The Studio To The Stage’ tour. The new dates will see the band take their renowned live show across the US in May and June 2024 with support from Samia, including the sixth edition of the band’s legendary Shadow Of The City festival in New Jersey. Tja, in Sachen Catchy Popsongs macht ihm derzeit keiner was vor. Das ist einfach Unterhaltung für die Ohren. Kein Wunder, dass sich nahezu alle Künstler um seine Qualitäten als Autor und Produzent reißen.

Habe so auf die Platte gefreut. Nach vier Durchgängen muss ich leider sagen, ich bin enttäuscht. Zugegeben haben Moden Girl und Tiny Moves für mich die zu hoch geschraubt. Aus meiner Sicht die Höhepunkte der Platte. Ansonsten gibt es eine handvoll ok-Songs. Insgsamt zu langweilig für mich . Die anderen Alben hatten mehr zu bieten. Schade, Für mich eine 6/10 wegen meiner zwei Lieblinge

Ist ein gutes frühe 80‘s affines Pop Album. Er setzt exzessiv Saxophone ein. Eigentlich ist mir Saxophon ein bisschen zu sehr Retro, aber bei Jack packen sie mich. MODERN GIRLS fand ich im Vorfeld nervig, eigentlich alle vorab veröffentlichten Songs. Im Albumkontext machen die für mich alle Sinn. Vor allem auch Alma Mater mit Lana.
Nee, spaßiges Album.

Ich mag die Scheibe nach dem zweiten Hören sehr und glaube, dass die auch regelmäßig laufen wird.
The National treffen auf M83 auf Bon Iver auf the 1975 usw. Das ganze mit ner dicken Portion 80er...
Langweilig find ich das ganz und gar nicht, immerhin passiert doch Recht viel auf dem Album.
Auch die Bonussongs auf der Vinyl gefallen und vor allem Margo hätte gern auch aufs reguläre Album gekonnt.
Und das Mastering auf Vinyl ist echt stark und baut mitunter richtig Druck auf.

Sehr cooles, lässiges, atmosphärisches Album… bleachers gingen bisher an mir vorbei, daher bin ich umso begeisterter !!! Mal durch die früheren Alben durchhören …
