Liebe User,
David von der großartigen Band There Will Be Fireworks (zur 9/10-Rezension hier entlang) hat Plattentests.de angeschrieben. Worum es geht, lest Ihr hier in seinen zwei Mails.
Mail 1:
Hello,
I am contacting you on behalf of the Scottish band There Will Be Fireworks. You have been very supportive of our work so far and we are incredibly grateful.
We have been looking into the possibility of playing some dates in Germany over the Summer (early July). We work full time and know little of the German music scene. We were wondering if you would be able to recommend some venues or cities or festivals to play and if you knew anybody who could promote the gigs ??
Thanks very much for all your help.
David, twbf
Mail 2:
Thanks for getting back to me. I really like the idea about putting it on the board, even to see what area would be best to play.
[...]
Thanks for all your help
David
Damit seid Ihr gefragt:
Betreff There Will Be Fireworks, bitte weiterleitbar auf Englisch. Wenn Eure Mailadresse nicht mit weitergeleitet werden darf, bitte dazuschreiben.
- Please write in English, so the band can understand you.

Fuck yeah, this is a dream coming true! A concert in Düsseldorf or somewhere in that area would be awesome. In Düsseldorf, I would recommend the Zakk, a wonderful club where I've been to many great concerts.

It is not in July - but cool events for smaller bands would be in Hamburg:
1) Reeperbahn Festival (September), where over 4 days around 200 concerts will take place all over Hamburg clubs
2) Dockville Festival (August), which is an Open Air close to Hamburg
I definitely would come to see you if you come to one of those :)

Wow, finally! Great News! :)
I would love to see you guys live in Hamburg. It's a great city with a lot of music clubs. Reeperbahn Festival might be a possibility, but it's in September and a solo concert would be highly prefered.
"The Dark, Dark Bright" is one of my favorite albums of 2013.

I'd really love seeing you in Hannover. There are plenty of great venues here, such as Lux, Chez Heinz, Faust or Glocksee.
A concert in the students' town Göttingen might also be an option for Middle Northern Germany. Suggestions for venues include Apex, Pools, Junges Theater, Nörgelbuff, Musa, ...

Lots of mails from concert/festival organizers are already coming. If I was be a booker, I'd already be able to set up a small tour now. :-)
But I'm not. Please keep on posting here or sending mails that are forwardable (English!).

Yeah! Awesome News!
A concert in Berlin would be fantastic. I highly recommend the Magnet, Bi Nuu or Lido Club. And I already know about ten people who would come to the show if you guys play here.

For the Hansestadt Greifswald I would recommended "the Mensaclub". Some of Germanys biggest bands played there like Sofaplanet, Robin Grubert or Humphrey "Frettchen" Hosenmann.

If you guys make it to Hamburg I'd highly recommend the Prinzenbar or Molotow ( should be back open by then). Both are lovely Places. I'd really be happy if you made it to Hamburg or any other City in the Northern Part of Germany.

This Promotion Agency could be very helpful, if they want to play in smaller clubs in southern germany:

They manage many gigs a year.

I cheer for Leipzig as well.
what do the Leipzig people think of Horns Erben? Too small? Would be easier to accomplish, I guess.
