REVIEW:
"This album is an engaging blend of dreamy chamber pop, indie rock, and alt-folk from a highly thoughtful Italian singer/songwriter. It's a true pleasure to listen to an album like this; there are so many engaging elements to it. From the wide variety of instruments (live strings, horns, theramin, and synths plus the expected guitars, bass & drums), to the warm sonic clarity of the recording, to the fanciful stories told in the lyrics, to Ef's skilled melodies, there's a lot of good stuff going on here. As the album progresses, it heads into some Bjorkish territory, with drum machines, creepy percussion & tinkerbells on "Mechanical Friends", and even recalls Joanna Newsom on the harp-based "The First Visit". This is high quality music for fans of Magnet, Sparklehorse, and Rufus Wainwright."
