Der UK Indie-Rock Artist "Jacob Reddy" aus Blackburn, Lancashire.

"The Gilhoolys" aus Glasgow
The Gilhoolys are a cult Glasgow band who came together in the 90’s around the same time as Travis, Teenage Fanclub and Cosmic Rough Riders (James Clifford, formerly of Cosmic Rough Riders is now a full-time member of the band). They’ve recently had singles appear in the indie charts, toured Scotland, including support slots at Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow (the third busiest venue in the world) and sold out gigs in the likes of King Tuts Wah Wah Hut etc. They’ve enjoyed airplay on over 60 radio stations around the world, including as far afield as Australia and Brazil.

Hertfordshire alt-rockers Maystones are back with a bang. Their new single 'Meltdown' is an absolute scorcher, and marks a bold step forward for this exciting young band. If you're not already familiar with Maystones, it's time to get acquainted.
These guys have been making waves with their infectious energy and unique blend of punky aggression and soaring melodies. With two Isle of Wight Festival appearances and a sold-out headline show at The Water Rats under their belts, they're quickly becoming one of the most talked-about acts in the UK.
'Meltdown' kicks off with a monstrous bass riff that'll grab you by the throat. It's a track packed with emotion and raw power, building and evolving throughout its duration. This is a song that demands your attention from the first second to the last. The band themselves describe 'Meltdown' as the start of a new era, and it's easy to see why.
“We feel 'Meltdown' is the start of our new era. It’s the tune we open with at our live shows and it makes a real impact every time. We felt it was only right to drop it as the first single as we roll out our new and improved sound.”

Brighton indie-rock project Shady Baby is back with a new single, ‘Held In’.
The track, recorded with Dan Crook (Nadine Shah, Nuha Ruby Ra) and mixed by Theo Verney (English Teacher, Lime Garden, Egyptian Blue), draws from U.S 90s alt-rock influences.
Songwriter Sam Leaver says: “‘Held In’ reflects on those lingering dreams that feel real but fade away suddenly when you wake up – so the lyrics are quite loose, with some references to those dreams I was having.
“The backing vocals, part-sung by my sister, were lifted from the demo and reflect that fading feeling in the chorus. It’s both about that and a sense of renewal and determination to keep moving forwards.” |

Natürlich höre ich mir jeden einzelnen Song an, bevor ich ihn hier poste. Bei Alben ist es zeitmässig kaum zu wuppen, also verschaffe ich mir einen groben Überblick. Aber das alles sollte hier auch ein Anreiz für Neuentdeckungen sein. Im übrigen, muss mir ja auch nicht alles gefallen, was anderen Usern vielleicht zusagt. |
