Offenbar wieder nur Moby, ohne Pacific Void Choir "ok, here it is, new album announcement! my next album is called 'everything was beautiful and nothing hurt', and will be out on march 2nd next year. the first song from the album is 'like a motherless child', and is out today with a new video. and in case you were wondering, the album title comes from Kurt Vonnegut "Slaughterhouse 5". thanks!"

Watchful_Eye User Postings: 2710 Registriert seit 13.06.2013	11.12.2017 - 17:05 Uhr Klingt wie ein (sehr) typischer Moby-Song. Aber dagegen ist ja nichts einzuwenden, denn er ist gut. Ich lese öfters mal Lästereien gegen ihn auf Indie- und Elektronische Musik- Seiten. Aber obwohl seine Songs teilweise allzu simpel daherkommen und er auf Albenlänge zu inkonsistent ist: Er ist meines Erachtens ein guter, stellenweise herausragender Produzent, welcher mit dem nötigen Gespür für Hooks und Emotionen gesegnet ist. Vielleicht liegt es an seinem Mainstream-Erfolg, dass ihn manche so hart anfassen.

Klar, man darf nach all der Zeit nicht mehr erwarten, dass er völlig über sich hinauswächst, und doch - das ist gut. Wobei Moby imo schon immer starke Singles hatte, mit denen der Rest dann doch schließlich nicht mithalten konnte. Daher mal abwarten.

Watchful_Eye User Postings: 2710 Registriert seit 13.06.2013	02.03.2018 - 02:23 Uhr Hab die neue Moby soeben über Spotify gehört. Ist definitiv eines seiner besseren Werke. Sehr kohärent und stimmungsvoll - offensichtliche Hits oder Ohrwürmer hab ich spontan keine rausgehört. Das Album wirkt auf mich irgendwie ernster und sorgfältiger produziert auf mich als andere Alben von ihm.
