Vermutlich nicht genauso auswendig, aber ich kenne sie schon gut. Wobei ich "Fourth Of July" bestimmt komplett kenne, tausend Mal habe ich das gehört. |

Man muss sich natürlich erst einmal daran gewöhnen, dass die von einem geliebten Versionen verändert und auch teilweise etwas auseinandergenommen werden, in ein anderes Licht gerückt, etwas in der Form verändert.
Ja, aber es ergibt Sinn. Denn der Herr spielt eben nciht vor 200 Mann sondern vor ein paar Tausend. Und es gibt ja das Album. Ich glaube die Songs allzu intim zu performen ist auch schwer für jemanden, der so ein persönliches Album gemacht hat.
Für mich sind alles gelungene Variationen. 3-4 übertreffen für micih sogar die Originale. |

Ja, natürlich. Es sollte ja am Ende auch stimmig sein und sich richtig anfühlen, sowohl für den Künstler als auch für den Hörer. Und das tut es ja auch. |

"The Only Thing", den mag ich auf dem Hauptalbum sehr gerne, auch, weil er so subtil um die Ecke kommt. Aber im Vergleich zum Song danach verblasst er natürlich. |

Puh, "Fourth Of July". Gibt wirklich wirklich wenige Songs, die mich so mitnehmen wie dieser hier. Klares Highlight auf dem Hauptalbum, hier wird sicherlich auch die ein oder andere Träne vergossen. |

Puh. Wunderschön, aber auch schwer zu ertragen. Fabelhaft umgesetzt, das Ende ist aber zunächst doch etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, hauptsächlich die elektronischen Elemente. Obwohl das auch was befreiendes hat, die Lautstärke und das Volle drückt den Schwermut ein wenig beiseite. |

Ich hätte das Album auch gern mit Streichern gehört, aber ich verstehe dass er es im Band-Kontext lassen möchte. Deshalb dann eben auch mehr Elektronik. |
