Als die Band vor einigen Wochen mit “Past Lives” einen ersten, neuen Track seit drei Jahren veröffentlichte, bahnte sich etwas Großes an. Nun ist die Katze aus dem Sack und die fünfköpfige Band aus Los Angeles steht vor dem Release ihres dritten Studioalbums. “A lot of the excitement in making this new album came from discovering how to make songs in different ways”, so Ryan Hahn. “You start thinking, ‘What do I want to hear?’ Forget about what we’ve done and what people expect. This is a song that I would want to hear.” “Villainy” ist der zweite Song, der aus dem neuen Album vorab veröffentlicht wird. Nach dem 2010er Debütalbum “Gorilla Manor” und “Hummingbird” aus dem Jahr 2013 folgt mit “Sunlit Youth” am 09.09.2016 nun das neue Album von Local Natives via Infectious Music.
