Ja, "River" ist schon megagroß, so als Eröffnung des Ganzen. Gerade wie das sich kurz vor Ende mit "in time" aufbäumt. |

Und gelungen finde ich, wie die Platte zwschen ruhigeren Stücken und "aufbrausenderen" wechselt.
Das macht sie viel, viel besser als der Vorgänger, der da sehr formelhaft rangegangen ist.
Ein guter Zeitpunkt,um zu erwähnen, dass die EP "Because, Because" genauso gut ist, wie dieses Album hier. |

das wollte ich gerade schreiben, eine von vielen Stärken des Albums sind die emotioanlen und musikalischen Gegensätze, diese ersten gesungenen Zeilen fangen einen auf.

Dafür, dass das Album offenbar in den 10ern entstanden ist, klingen die Arrangements, die Ambition, der Pathos usw. angenehm 00er-mäßig.

Youngblood ist so catchy, definitv ein klassicher Indie Hit. |

Wie Felix meinte, ist das Album in Sachen Dramaturgie (und natürlich Produktion) dem Vorgänger haushoch überlegen.

Bei mancher Stelle in diesem Song höre ich eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit zu Conor Oberst stimmlich...
und wenns dann hymnisch wird, musss ich einfach auch an U2 denken.

Das läuft echt auf Anhieb sauber rein. :) Ist kein neuer Sound, aber echt gut verrührt.
Wir sind schon am Ende von Song 6, das ging schnell. Toll, wie dicht das Songwriting trotz des sphärischen Sounds bleibt. |

"Here is where" ist für mcih der dritte Übersong der PLatte und tatsächlich der meistgestreamte der Band bei Spotify.
Der Text kann einen in Zeiten von Liebeskummer echt fertig machen. Oder Hoffnung geben. Oder einfach beides. |

Yepp, wieder Wasser in den Augen..nun bin auch empfänglich für emotioanle Musik, aber es muss schon richtig gut sein und das ist dieser SOng.
Wunderbar auch wie die Stimme diesmal anders dunkler aufgenommen, diese vielen Details in der Umsetzung von so schön geschriebnen Worten und melodien.
