It blows all their previous releases away!! The production is amazing and it's catchier without being softer. it's incredible, plain and simple.”

For immediate releaseBelow you will find an update on everything Danko Jones related and what better way to start it off than with an update on the upcoming album! Sleep Is The Enemy The title has been confirmed, the album recorded, mixed & mastered and I think it's safe to say that the 11 tracks that are collectively referred to as "Sleep Is The Enemy" will not disappoint any fans of the band, or any fans of rock'n'roll for that matter. It really is that good. Initially it was scheduled to come out in Europe in October, but due to the incredible response "Lovercall" has been getting at radio in the U.S. (with high positions in the Active Rock, Mainstream Rock and College Radio charts) in combination with the "We Sweat Blood" release through Razor & Tie earlier this year we decided to postpone the release till next year to give the band an opportunity to really focus on the North American market this summer/fall. The European release of Danko Jones "Sleep Is The Enemy" has now been confirmed for February 20:th, 2006 and needless to say they will be touring extensively to support it. Danko Jones in North America Since the release of "We Sweat Blood" in the states less than 4 months ago Danko have already done two month long tours of the US, with the second one ending in Chicago on Wednesday. But, since this is Danko we're talking about a third tour is already in the making. Starting on September 1:st they will be doing their most extensive tour of the US yet. The dates that have been confirmed so far can be found below. 1-Sep MI Detroit, The Shelter 2-Sep IL Chicago, Bottom Lounge 3-Sep WI Milwaukee, Mad Planet 4-Sep MN Minneapolis, Triple Rock 6-Sep CO Denver, Eck's Saloon 7-Sep UT Salt Lake City, Liquid Joe's 9-Sep WA Seattle, Crocodile Café 13-Sep CA San Francisco, Fillmore (supporting Flogging Molly) 14-Sep-05 CA San Diego, House Of Blues (supporting Flogging Molly) 15-Sep-05 CA Anaheim, House Of Blues (supporting Flogging Molly) 16-Sep-05 NV Las Vegas, House Of Blues (supporting Flogging Molly) 17-Sep-05 CA Los Angeles, House Of Blues (supporting Flogging Molly) 18-Sep-05 MA Boston, WAAF Boston Locobazooka 21-Sep-05 PA Philadelphia, Trocadero (supporting Our Lady Peace) 22-Sep-05 WA Washington, DC 9:30 club (supporting Our Lady Peace) 23-Sep-05 RI Providence, Lupo's (supporting Our Lady Peace) 26-Sep-05 MA Boston, Roxy (supporting Our Lady Peace) 27-Sep-05 NY New York, Webster Hall (supporting Our Lady Peace) 28-Sep-05 CT New Heaven, Toad's (supporting Our Lady Peace) 30-Sep-05 NY Albany, Northern Lights (supporting Our Lady Peace) 1-Oct-05 OH Cleaveland, Agora (supporting Our Lady Peace) 2-Oct-05 IL Chicago, Vic (supporting Our Lady Peace) Check out: http://www.dankojones.com/gigs.php http://www.badtasterecords.se/shows.asp?artistID=20 for further updates in the weeks to come. Danko Jones in Europe In between these two US tours, Danko will be coming over to Europe to play three festivals. These will most likely be their ONLY European shows this year, so to get taste of the hottest rock show on the planet before winter, here's where you need to go: 19-aug-05 A Salzburg, Frequency Festival (http://www.frequency.at/index.php?frequencyhome) 20-aug-05 BEL Hasselt, Pukkelpop Festival (http://www.pukkelpop.be/) 23-aug-05 SWE Malmö, Malmöfestivalen (http://www.malmofestivalen.nu/festivalenprogram/program_eng.aspx) The Magical World Of Rock Danko's weekly radio show "The Magical World Of Rock" now airs on 6 different radio stations in 5 countries. The following 3 weeks he's doing open format shows and on August 31:st there will be a spotlight on Tokyo's avant garde legends Fushitsusha. Previous shows include his hugely popular "singer's clinics" where he's interviewed Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Hank Von Helvete (Turbonegro), Dave Wyndorf (Monster Magnet), Brant Bjork (Kyuss / Fu Manchu), David Johansen (New York Dolls), Pelle Almqvist (The Hives) and many, many more. All the shows can be heard on the Magical World Of Rock site, http://www.themagicalworldofrock.com/. Danko Jones, columnist Constantly exploring new venues of spreading his love of rock, Danko recently started writing a monthly column for two European magazines - Rock Hard in Germany (http://www.rockhard.de/) and the Norwegian music magazine Mute. Unfortunately his articles are not available in English anywhere on the web as of yet, but hopefully we will be able to post links to these articles at some point in the near future. Similar to his spoken word album (http://www.badtasterecords.se/records.asp?id=250), they contain Danko's personal reflections on "rock" and are often very, very funny. Check out the Bad Taste Records & Danko Jones web sites in the coming weeks for further Danko updates. Hope all is well! Your friends at, Bad Taste Records |

Things are coming together quickly now for the release of the third studio album from Danko Jones and with the European release being less than 3 months away we figured it was time to let you in on a few more secrets. The release date has been set for February 17:th - February 22:nd on mainland Europe (the reason it varies this much is because we've had to be flexible to the different weekdays records are being released in the different territories), with the rest of the world to follow shortly thereafter. In the U.S. the album will be released by the NY based record label Razor & Tie (distribution through SonyBmg) and in Canada Danko recently signed with Aquarius/DKD (distribution through EMI), who among other things have released & done a great job for Death From Above 1979 and Sum 41.

Album „Sleep Is The Enemy“ steht endlich in den Laeden. She's Drugs, Invisible, When Will I See You... |

3 vorgängeralben...du vergisst "I'm alive and on fire". |

Born A Lion und We Sweat Blood sind dagegen Bretter vorm Herrn... Mittlerweile kann die Sleep Is The Enemy mithalten. |

Machorock pur. 110 Prozent Spitzen-Entertainment! |

Sleep is the enemy verblasst im Vergleich zu We sweat blodd och realtiv schnell...aber live der hammer, vor allem "mountin", der Schlusssong... |

Schade eigentlich. |
