Wie gesagt, es ist keine Dokumentation (außer in dem Sinne, in dem jeder Filmbis zu einem Grad auch dokumentarische Anteile hat), sondern ein sehr detailgenau inszenierter, künstlerischer Film.

Wo hast du Sakamoto live erleben können? Und was hat er gespielt? Solo am Klavier? Hast du mal den Konzertfilm zu "Async" gesehen, "Live at the NY Park Armory" oder so ähnlich? Kam parallel zum sehr intensiven und poetischen Film über seine Krebserkrankung raus, "Coda", und war ebenfalls sehr stark, allerdings dort konkret fokussiert auf die Stücke von "Async", die er da erstmals live darbot. Auch sehr lohnenswert.

Das war 2011 im Tollhaus in Karlsruhe (mit Olafur Arnalds im Vorprogramm). Laut Internet-Recherche war das seine Trio Tour.

Das stimmt, Dokumentation ist dafür eigentlich nicht das richtige Wort. Habe leider bisher noch keine Verfilmungen oder Liveaufnahmen von ihm gesehen.

Hier meine Liste. Ein Album pro Künstler, wie immer. Kursiv ist, was sich in den tatsächlichen Top 100 wiederfand. Was dick gedruckt ist, fand sich nicht in den hier präsentierten Top 550. Für diese Alben habe ich jeweils einen Track verlinkt. Meistens zu Bandcamp, was heißt, dass man sich vom Track dann auch gleich zum Album weiterklicken kann. @MatschKetchup: Beide Daumen hoch und Danke für die Extra-Tipps am Ende deiner Liste und die Links.
Declan McKenna und Eve Owen habe ich mir nach einem Durchgang gleich bestellt, zumal die grade auch günstig zu bekommen waren. Tigercub klingt ebenfalls interessant, das werde ich noch weiter vertiefen.

@fitzkrawallo: Da sind Genres dabei, die ich noch nie gehört hab - Deconstructed Club?! Von den Künstlern ganz zu schweigen.
Es ist aber immer wieder schön zu sehen, was für abgefahrene Sachen die Leute hier im Forum hören. Meine Liste ist da ja weit mehr gewöhnlicher (Indie)Rock.

Wow, die Liste von fitzkrawallo ist ja wirklich mal toll, auch wenn ich mit dem ganzen Metal-Hardcore-Screamo-und-so-Zeux eigentlich nix anfangen kann. Mit dem Rest dagegen schon, sehr.

Die Platte von Surgeon (Crash Recoil) kannte ich noch gar nicht; hört sich stark an, so von kurzen Reinzappen.
Schön, dass hier auch mal jemand Fire! Orchestra und Martyna Basta schätzt und erwähnt.

Ambarchi, Berthling & Werliin hab ich letztes Jahr live gesehen, war super, aber von ihren drei(?) Alben hab ich bisher noch immer keins gehört.

Und ja, aus der "Deconstructed Club"-Ecke habe ich auch ziemlich vieles, das ich schätze (Lee Gamble, Actress, Space Afrika, Andy Stott, Vessel, Visionist, Loraine James...) inkl. einigen Alben von diesen beiden Schweden, deren Namen ich jetzt nicht tippen kann, aber dieses genannte Album habe ich auch nicht gehört. Mir war allerdings auch nicht klar, dass "Deconstructed Club" schon als Genrebegriff verwendet wird; ich denke, ich sage da immer "Experimental Techno" oder so.

Recht vielen Dank für die Rückmeldung, liebe Leut, freut mich, wenn’s was zu finden gibt. Ich hab auch schon manch schönes entdeckt auf den geposteten Listen (z.B. bei ijb) und werde hier demnächst mal berichten, was es mir besonders angetan hat.
Das mit den Genres und ziselierten Subgenres ist natürlich irgendwo Blödsinn. Ich mache es mir da einfach und schreibe dazu, was die Leute bei RYM meinen, wohin ein Album gehört. Dann muss ich es nicht selber wissen und groß kümmern braucht es mich auch nicht.

@fitzkrawallo hui in deiner Liste gibt es echt einiges zu entdecken. Die Genre-Beschreibungen von RYM helfen sehr, ich hätte aber keine Lust, das alles immer in meine Excel-Liste zu kopieren, daher nur einzelne Genres (die vervollständigt Excel dann auch automatisch ;))

Aber mal wirklich eine Frage aus Interesse, nicht aus offense: warum nur ein Album pro Künstler? Wenn Ethereal Shroud jetzt im Jahr 2027 ein noch besseres Album raus bringen, wirfst du dann deinen bisherigen Platz 1 für die finale 2020er-Liste in ein paar Jahren raus?

@Glufke: Das bleibt natürlich eine gute Frage. Ich mach’s mal umfassender. Es gibt für mich mindestens drei Gründe.
1. Ich kann dadurch eine breitere Zahl an Künstlern auf die Liste nehmen und somit auch ein paar obskurere Namen, die sonst vielleicht nirgends auftauchen. Gibt für andere also vielleicht mehr zu entdecken.
2. Willkürliche Einschränkungen wie diese machen nur das Leben leichter. Weil so manches einfach automatisch ausgeschlossen wird ohne dass ich drüber nachdenken muss.
3. Hier spricht der formale Ästhet in mir. Eine Liste, die solchen Regeln folgt und dann auch so aussieht, gefällt mir einfach besser. Solche formalen Aspekte sind mir (vielleicht absurd) wichtig. Zeigt sich auch z.B. in der Reihenfolge. Ich könnte nich wirklich sagen, dass ich Messas Album schlechter finde als Rroses. Aber bei umgekehrter Reihenfolge kämen mir Rrose und Auscultation zwei Ambient Techno-Alben hintereinander. Nicht auszudenken!

Es gibt freilich Argumente dagegen. Nicht zuletzt die von dir aufgeführten absurden Blüten, die das treiben könnte (von Ethereal Shroud soll es 2027 tatsächlich was Neues geben, jubelfreu). In der freien Wildbahn ist mir das aber noch nicht begegnet.

Immer schön, eine Eins die einem so gar nichts sagt. Habe die State Faults vorhin auf dem Weg zur Arbeit durchlaufen lassen und hat mir gut gefallen! Eeeeewig nicht mehr solche Musik gehört (Screamo/Emo?), das höre ich schon mit einem halb nostalgischen Ohr, aber ist toll umgesetzt. Gleich das Intro hat mich gut reingezogen.

Der Künstler mit den meisten genannten Alben dürfte btw doch unstreitig billy woods sein, oder? Wahnsinn in wie vielen Listen er auftaucht, immer mit unterschiedlichen Alben.

Viele tolle Listen zum durchstöbern.


fitzkrawallos ist voll mit Alben die in einer längeren Liste bei mir dabei gewesen wären. Bei manchen hätte es vielleicht auch für die Top 100 gereicht wenn ich nochmal reingehört hätte (z.B. Henki, Echoes, Trisagion, The Lamb as Effigy). Die Deadline war etwas zu früh um alles nochmal zu hören.

Zum Glück ist die Deadline für die 60er Liste noch weit weg. Da kann ich mich vorher nochmal ein bisschen mit 2020-2024 beschäftigen. Vielleicht poste ich in ein paar Wochen/Monaten ein Update.

Freu mich wie immer auf Listen bei denen ich viel neues entdecken kann. ijbs Liste ist wohl die bei der es für mich am interessantesten wird.

Tatsächlich war ich da dabei. Allerdings nicht bei den anderen Sachen. Yoshihide Special Big Band hätte ich vorallem gern gesehen.
