The Notwist muss ich noch etwas sacken lassen. Auf's erste Hören war mir das zu durcheinander, als würde ich ein Album im Shuffle-Modus hören. Insofern hab ich da noch keinen Zugang gefunden. Zu Converge auch noch nicht. 30 Minuten sind ja an sich nicht zu kurz. Aber das Album fühlt sich für mich so an (vielleicht von der Dramaturgie her), als würde da noch ein letztes Drittel fehlen. |

Es ist gut, aber es kam auch zur rechten Zeit, weil ich auf den Sound gerade ziemlich Bock habe. :)
Vor allem die ersten beiden Tracks stechen heraus. Es ist also "frontloaded". Die sind aber dann auch schon 20 Minuten lang.
Der Opener ist für Metheny-Verhältnisse ziemlich proggig und energetisch. Das anschließende "Dont Look Down" ist ein eher typischer Track, aber das dann auch richtig gut.
Ich hab schon den Eindruck, dass es das beste Album von ihm seit längerer Zeit ist. |
