Built on cascading strings and a sense of full-bodied release, ‘I Could Get Used To This’ channels the grandeur of classic diva pop, drawing subtle inspiration from the likes of Grace Jones, Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand – while sounding unmistakably current. Ware’s vocal sits front and centre: poised, powerful, and completely at ease. Out today alongside the track is a video directed by Fa & Fon, inspired by the goddess Juno and the theatrical language of the stage – a visual world rooted in ceremony, glamour and feminine power. Talking about the single Jessie said: “I Could Get Used To This is an invitation into the world of this album. I wanted to set the scene of the world that I’m trying to paint in the album; romance, real love, performance, celebration and pleasure (always!) in a garden full of gods and goddesses. I wrote this song with Miranda Cooper, Sophia Brenan and Jon Shave who are legends in British pop music. I’ve always admired Miranda’s work so I’m incredibly glad to have a record with her. Mit dem zweiten Album haben wir uns aus den Augen verloren bis dann "That! Feels Good!" (auch schon wieder 3 Jahre her!) wie blöde bei mir eingeschlagen ist und ich dadurch den ebenfalls sehr tollen Vorgänger entdeckt habe. Der neue Song macht Laune, haut mich aber (noch?) nicht vollends um.

Expanding Ware’s increasingly euphoric body of work as she explores our shared craving for touch, pleasure, intimacy and connection. The album features recent single ‘I Could Get Used To This’, hailed as her “ultimate entry into divahood” and the first track to fully capture the record’s assured, expansive spirit, carried by cascading strings and a sense of full-bodied release. Ware explains of the album: “Since ‘What’s Your Pleasure?’ I've been trying out this fantasy world and escapism. A slow-burning, high-heat dancefloor moment, ‘Ride’ is pure Jessie: confident, sensual, and made for movement. Built around a hypnotic groove that subtly replays The Good, the Bad and the Ugly theme and a commanding vocal, Ware leans fully into desire and control - “I’m bad / Beautiful / Hold my hips / Watch me move” - delivering a track that feels both playful and powerful, intimate and expansive. Talking about the track Jessie said, “Ride was the first song I wrote for this record. I made it in 2024 with my best friend Jack Peñate and Karma Kid, who feature throughout the album. It’s a song for the clubs, for the dancefloor - fun, cinematic, cheeky and powerful. I first performed it at NYC Downlow at Glastonbury after headlining West Holts, and I’ve been waiting two years to finally put it out. I know others have been waiting too… So here it is. You’re welcome.” The track is taken from Jessie Ware’s upcoming album Superbloom, due for release on 10th April, placing Ware at the centre of a cinematic world charged with tension, glamour and physicality. ‘Ride’ marks another statement from an artist operating at the height of her powers, teasing what’s next while firmly owning the dance floor. Halte dieses Album jedenfalls nach dem ersten Hören für sehr gelungen, von dieser Dance-Trilogie seit what’s your pleasure vielleicht sogar das am besten produzierte, auch wenn ich hier nicht die Übersongs höre… macht Spaß!

Heute mal durchgehört. Produktion ist wieder ordentlich, aber es fehlt nach dem ersten Durchlauf an den wirklichen Krachern.
