Genre: Indie-Pop, Indie-Rock, Dreampop, Synth (80's influenced) The name NIGHT TRAVELER is remarkably fitting: all of their music simmers with the subtle sensuality of a late-night car ride or a last call at a local dive bar (EARMILK). Known for their pocket grooves and emotional melodies, their slow-burn approach has attracted fans around the world for years. With their confessional lyrics and almost spiritual musical offerings, the band has been compared to bands like The War on Drugs and The National (Variance Magazine) and has been featured on platforms such as MTV, Monday Night Football, and Spotify's editorial playlists All New Rock, Soda, and Night Pop. Both members, Adam Fischer and Hunter Glaske, share a shared focus on compelling visuals and have amassed over 150,000 followers on Spotify and YouTube. They often accompany releases with behind-the-scenes footage to document their songwriting and recording processes. The band released their second album, "Hotspot," in November 2024. The album generates this sort of reflectiveness that ties in with their own personal lives, lyrically expanding their own narratives and experiences within such beautifully crafted songs. Night Traveler have been a firm favourite of mine since discovering them a few years ago. They have such a throwback sound that conjures the feeling of nostalgic youth, the innocence of falling in love on a backdrop of soft 80’s style synths that perhaps your Dad would play in the car back in his hayday. The duo have such a lovely way of bouncing off each other, making their music so inviting to listen to. From built up choruses and crashing symbols reminiscing of Bruce Springsteen at times, to heavily emotional songwriting that express so much love it’s hard not to fall head over heels for their sound, Hotspot is yet another fantastic album under their belt which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting lost within.
