Belgium's finest indie pop export, The Haunted Youth have returned with their evocative new single ‘Into You’.
Lovelorn yet strangely upbeat, ‘Into You’ mixes the atmospherics of goth adjacent bands like The Cure and Depeche Mode with the guitar driven power pop of acts like The Radio Dept. and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.
“The song is about not being able to be with your sweetheart, and at the same time not being able to be without them” singer Joachim explains. “It’s about finding a balance between yourself as an individual and your relationship.”
The primary vehicle of songwriter and misfit rock star, Joachim Liebens, The Haunted Youth have been a critically acclaimed part of Belgian’s alternative music scene since first emerging in 2021. They released a lauded debut album, ‘Dawn of the Freak’ in 2022.
The Haunted Youth headlined shows all across Europe and graced the stages of many big name festivals including Iceland Airwaves, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop, Eurockéennes and Montreux Jazz. With more new music to come The Haunted Youth look set to go from strength-to-strength.

Die Elemente sind schön simpel gehalten und es entsteht auch eine wohlige Melancholie, aber im Ganzen ist es mir dann zu glatt und langweilig |

‘In My Head’ is the highly anticipated new single by The Haunted Youth, the band of Belgian multi-instrumentalist Joachim Liebens, and a monumental indie anthem about being confronted with one’s own worst enemies in love and relationship.
“When love brings out the worst in you, the end of the honeymoon phase, where you are confronted by your own worst enemies: yourself and your demons, which are awakened by truly feeling vulnerable with someone.” Joachim Liebens says.
The band has just returned from a memorable German tour with Canadian indie phenomenon Ekkstacy. In 2023 and 2024, The Haunted Youth headlined shows all across Europe and graced the stages of major festivals including Iceland Airwaves, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Eurockéennes, Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop and Montreux Jazz.
Liebens is currently working on a follow-up to the massively popular and critically acclaimed debut album Dawn of the Freak. More updates: soon!

'Klingt wie Slowdive' ist wohl das beste Kompliment, welches du einer Band machen kannst... Ich bin auch dabei, erste Single 9/10, diese hier 8/10, beide stark. |
