Letztens mal wieder gemerkt, wie full of shit Billy eigentlich ist.
Einerseits hab ich ein neueres Interview gesehen, in dem er behauptet, er habe Mellon Collie so hart gemacht (Rat in a Cage etc), weil die Leute das von ihm hören wollten, und eben nicht „disarm“, bei dem er ÜBRIGENS AUCH DIE STREICHER ARRANGIERT HAT (wie kommt er überhaupt auf die Idee?)
Andererseits behauptet er in einem Interview aus der Mellon Collie-Zeit, er „couldn’t give two fucks what people think“
Glaub, er labert immer das, was ihm grad in den Kram passt.
Lisa Germano hat erzählt, sie war in den 90ern gebucht, auf Tour background zu singen, das war alles ausgemacht und eingetütet, sie hat ewig mit ihnen geprobt, und dann kurz vor tourstart wurde ihr dann wortlos ein Ticket unter der Tür durchgeschoben „we no longer require your services“

Ach das ist doch alles kram.von gestern. Fakt ist dass die pumpkins und vor.allem billybolly viele falsche entscheidungen im.studio trafen.

Trotzdem sind sie erfolgreich wie lange nicht mehr. Die Leute gieren nach dem Besten der 90s und sicherlich werden auch Cyr, Atum und Aghori dazu beigetragen haben. |

Hat er alles in seinem Substack erzählt:
So he's making a new record. Drums are tracked. He has about 20 and wants to do 4 - 6 more. Once that's done he'll start putting the music on and writing melodies and lyrics.
It's a guitar record. It's not a "prog" record.
It has some familiar stuff but also a "fresh" sound.
Aghori was a bit narrow in scope for him, this new record has more "depth". He's shooting for a double album. 14 - 16 song range.
He's building it analog rather than using pro-tools. More like he did in the 90s, referencing Gish / SD / MCIS.
He's not going to talk about who's playing on the record. If you ask him, he'll block you.
He's producing. Some guy who helped on Cyr and Machina boxset engineered the drums.
Ob Jimmy und James dabei sein werden, weiß man jedoch nicht. |

Grad wieder gehört und ich bleib bei den Songwertungen hier. Das ist grad instrumental recht anständig und teilweise richtig gut. Billy ist der Schwachpunkt, aber endlich mal nicht komplett nach vorn gemischt. Die letzten 3 Songs fallen ab, aber sonst ist das für mich trotzdem ne postive Überraschung nach all dem Schrecken davor. 7,3/10 |

Mal so nebenbei: Besitzt zufällig einer von euch eine von Billys Signature Gitarren von Reverend? Ich brauch endlich mal eine neue und hab ein Auge auf die schwarze Z-One geworfen. Man kann ja kaum mehr irgendwo Instrumente ausprobieren, deshalb werd ich sie mir wohl schicken lassen müssen. |
