also ich weiß nicht.. "made of bricks" ist für mich immer noch ein magisches album, aber was ich von ihren weiteren album, auch diesem hier, so höre, klingt einfach wie eine leere hülle im vergleich.. vielleicht ist es der jugendliche leichtsinn, der sich nicht in die adulthood übertragen lässt? |

Kommerziell leider eher ein Flop, dabei ist das Album echt gut und wächst bisher mit jedem Hören. Das dürfte auch das Problem sein, was nicht sofort ballert interessiert die Tiktok-Musikwelt nicht.Überlege zum Konzert in Köln zu gehen, hat jemand sie schon mal live gesehen und lohnt es sich? |

Das verstehe ich ja echt nicht... Gut, Made of Bricks ist lange her, hat sich aber ca 1mio mal verkauft, zu einer Zeit, in der es keine Streaming Platformen gab. Das zweite Album war jetzt auch kein Flop Gerade eine UK Tour sollte doch wohl genug Geld einbringen, dass man davon gut leben sollte... |

ist auch sicher ein public stunt... jetzt ist sie mal in den Medien (und mehr als mit dem letzten Album, welches ja auch gut ist...)Es ist ja schon eigenartig... jetzt ist sie seit Jahren nicht mehr bei einem großen Label - gerade von einem kleinen könnte man etwas mehr "Kreativität" erwarten, was Publicity oder ähnliches anbelangt. Du kannst auch mit gutem, kreativen merch viel dazu verdienen, oder von mir aus "Vip Tickets" verscherbeln, in denen man backstage mit ihr ein Foto machen kann, was weiß ich (The Darkness machen das ja zB) Oder sie soll sich mit anderen ähnlichen Artists zusammentun und auf Tour gehen... Das sollte in UK wahrlich kein Problem darstellen |

Das Konzert gestern hat mir auf jeden Fall großen Spaß gemacht und ich hatte den Eindruck, dass das den meisten so ging. Ihrer "Butts for tour buses"-Aktion und ihrer Kritik an der Musik-Industrie im allgemeinen hat sie meinem Empfinden nach ca. 10 Minuten in einem flammenden Monolog gewidmet (habe nicht auf die Uhr geschaut.) Man könnte das villeicht kritisieren, weil es schon ein kleiner Bruch im Flow des Konzerts was. Aber ich hatte nicht den Eindruck, dass ihr das jemand krumm genommen hat. Und danach ging es dann ja auch weiter. Sie war glaube ich gesundheitlich (Erkältung) ein bisschen angeschossen, hat dauernd an ihrer Teetasse genuckelt, aber wenn sie das nicht erwähnt hätte, wäre es mir vermutlich gar nicht aufgefallen. Die Songauswahl fand ich sehr gut, ich denke es war von jedem Album was dabei. Trotzdem irgendwie schade, dass die kleine Halle bei weitem nicht ausverkauft war. Man konnte, wenn man wollte, zu jederzeit ohne großes Gedrängel direkt bis zur Bühne gehen. Immerhin hat ihr das ermöglich, dass sie zwei Songs sehr entspannt im Zuschauerraum zum besten geben konnte. Ich glaube ja, dass das schäbige Cover ihres Albums eine große Mitschuld daran trägt. Wenn ich sie nicht gekannt hätte, hätte mich das jedenfalls überhaupt nicht angesprochen und kein Interesse geweckt, da mal reinzuhören. Vielleicht hätte sie sich für das Cover einfach in ihrem Bühnenoutfit ablichten lassen sollen. Das wäre m.E. viel anpsrechender gewesen. Aber was verstehe ich schon von Marketing :-).Heute spielt sie in Berlin und am Montag in Köln. Falls jemand nocht nichts vorhat... |
