Viel wurde gerätselt, im Forum haben sich die Tipps und Geheimtipps rege widersprochen, am Ende wurde es aber doch eine klare Sache: "Third" von Portishead ist Euer "Album des Jahres". Gut Ding will Weile haben, und viel Weile machte gut Ding. Bemerkenswert: Radiohead sind nach der physischen Veröffentlichung mit "In rainbows" ein zweites Mal platziert. Und die von uns jeweils mit 9/10 empfohlenen Newcomer The Gaslight Anthem und Fleet Foxes schossen von Null durch die Decke. Nicht mal in den Top 200 u.a.: Say Anything, Phantom Planet, Sugarplum Fairy, Adam Green und Fettes Brot.

Was für ein Herzschlagfinale! Drei entsprechende Stimmzettel mehr, und Kings Of Leon wären als Sieger ins Ziel gegangen. So schaffen Portishead aber das Double und stellen mit dem ausgefeilten "The rip" auch Euren "Song des Jahres". Die beste Platzierung eines Acts, der nicht in den Album-Top-200 vertreten ist: Lützenkirchen mit "3 Tage wach" auf Rang 60. Am häufigsten in den Top 200 platziert sind übrigens The Gaslight Anthem (8) und Tomte (8) vor Fleet Foxes (7). Der beste Song, den Guns N' Roses in rund 15 Jahren geschrieben haben, belegt indes Platz 226.
